Kenneth Costello

Ken studied piano and saxophone and obtained his Senior Certificate in piano and Grade VIII in theory from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He has since gone on to learn the bass guitar. He was a saxophonist and bassist for the Glasnevin Youth Concert Band, of which he is now assistant director, as well as the Artane Senior Band. Ken has performed in numerous venues over the past few years, including the National Concert Hall, the Helix and Áras an Uachtaráin, and he has performed in a number of musicals and variety shows. In addition to his administrative work at the New School, Ken is also Outreach Representative for both Waltons music shops and the school, providing information on the school's Outreach Programme as well as advice on choosing and purchasing curriculum and extra-curricular musical instruments and equipment from Waltons.

Sarah Cunningham

Sarah studied piano from a young age and received both a BMus degree and an MA (in Computer Music) from NUI Maynooth. Before college, she sang with the Loreto Balbriggan Senior Choir and the Dublin Secondary Schoolgirls Choir, and while at college she performed with the NUIM Choral Society, the Maynooth Gospel Choir and the Park Singers. She has also taught piano, guitar and musicianship in Maynooth, Naas, Straffan and Celbridge. In addition to her administrative work at the New School, Sarah is also Co-ordinator of our busy Outreach Programme, providing information and advice on particular workshops or In-School music courses and responsible for scheduling, contracts and payments. She also works on Waltons World Masters series concerts and co-organises our annual charity concerts.

Anne-Marie Redmond

Anne-Marie started learning piano at the age of eight. She joined Gardiner Street Gospel Choir during her first year of college, and with them performed concerts in Vicar Street, the Ambassador and the Olympia Theatre. For the past seven years she has performed and recorded with The Gospel Project, which has appeared at The Button Factory and The Sugar Club, among other venues, supported Alabama 3 and performed on the Late Late Show. Anne-Marie has also been involved with several different soul and blues ensembles, including the Bleu Note’s ‘Diva’s of Soul and Jazz’ and BackBeat. And she toured with Derby Browne’s Bugle Babes for two years, performing at the Cork Opera House, the Helix and the National Concert Hall, as well as on the Late Late Show. In addition to her administrative and performing work, Anne-Marie is also Co-ordinator of the New School’s Waltons World Masters series, and co-organises our annual charity concerts.
