This ensemble, which won the New School's 2008 Ensemble Prize (see Scholarships & Prizes), is open to violin, viola, cello, double bass and guitar students of Grade II to Grade V standard. Ensemble members explore a wide range of music together in an informal and non-competitive atmosphere, while strengthening their ensemble skills and developing their general musical and string skills. A gentle approach, encouraging guidance and ‘safety in numbers’ enable them to achieve heights beyond their expectations!
Students concurrently enrolled for private or group lessons at the New School receive a 50% discount off the fee for this ensemble.
