Canaimid le Chéile is an exciting new training choir for teens that works on a great range of music, spanning the centuries and from around the world. As a member of Canaimid you will:
- Discover and learn to use your singing voice in a healthy and expressive manner
- Develop your stage presence and performance poise
- Sing a wide range of music, from the sixteenth century to the present
- Learn basic skills of singing and musical literacy
- Proudly perform a least twice a year before family, friends and others
No previous musical experience is required, but very brief, informal auditions are scheduled for new members. Please phone the school office to arrange a time.

Róisín Kane, Director
Róisín Kane is an honours graduate from the BMus course at NUI Maynooth and is active both as a performer and an educator. She was director of music at St. Paul’s Retreat, Mount Argus, for six years, where she gained invaluable experience as choral director, cantor and conductor, and she teaches music at the Glebe Montessori School in Celbridge, Co. Kildare. Currently studying voice with Edith Forrest and repetiteur Alison Young, Róisín has participated in many masterclasses, including those with the renowned soprano Regina Nathan, and won the Feis Ceoil’s Dennis O’Sullivan Medal. She has performed the roles of Susanna, Zerlina and Despina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and Cosi Fan tutte respectively, and her choral singing experience includes the Dublin Bach Singers, Canzona Chamber Choir, Anúna, RTÉ Cór na nÓg and the RTÉ Philharmonic Choir. She also teaches our Music for Me classes as well as private voice lessons at the New School, and co-facilitates our Around the World with Music and Musical Theatre in the Classroom outreach workshops.
