Waltons New School of Music - Enrolment & Re-enrolment for the 2016-2017 School Year

Enrolment & Re-enrolment for the 2016-2017 School Year

(11 Aug 2016)

We are currently accepting both enrolments and re-enrolments for the 2016-2017 school year, which begins the week of 19-24 September.

New Enrolments

If you are – or your child is – enrolling for private, partner or small group lessons at the New School for the first time this year, please complete one of the following online forms:

Enrolment Form: Private, Partner & Small Group Lessons for Adults – New Students
Enrolment Form: Private, Partner & Small Group Lessons for Children – New Students

Re-enrolments

If you were – or your child was – a private, partner or small group student at the school in 2015-2016, and you have not yet received re-enrolment information, please complete one of the following online forms:

Enrolment Form: Private, Partner & Small Group Lessons for Adults – Returning Students
Enrolment Form: Private, Partner & Small Group Lessons for Children – Returning Students

And please go to Private, Partner & Group Lesson Fees for tuition options and fees (which remain the same as last year).

Because this is a new school year, we do require that a new form is completed for all students – those re-enrolling as well as those new to the school. Please note that enrolment cannot be confirmed and students cannot be scheduled until we receive completed enrolment forms and applicable tuition fees. We process enrolments in order of receipt and recommend that you complete a form soon as possible, since teachers’ timetables fill up quickly.

For this reason the New School offers a range of theory, musicianship and songwriting lessons and courses, designed to supplement and support the student's practical studies. Courses taking place in our First Term include:

  • Sight Singing Made Easy
Ideal for singing students and choristers, this course simultaneously develops your music reading skills and practical sight singing.
    5 October – 14 December | Wednesdays 7.30 – 8.30 pm
  • Songwriting Fundamentals for Teens NEW COURSE
Would you like to write a song but don’t know where to begin? Whatever type of music you’re interested in – and whether or not you have any music background – you can write a song, maybe even a great song, if you’re willing to put in the work and learn the craft.
    8 October – 17 December | Saturdays 3 – 4 pm
  • Songwriting Workshop
An engaging and practical course that will help you to develop your creative ideas – in any musical style – and turn them into finished songs.
