The New School’s Introducing... courses provide foundation tuition for adults and teens in nine popular instruments – 5-string banjo, Irish tenor banjo, bodhrán, fiddle, guitar, harmonica, piano/keyboard, tin whistle and violin – as well as singing, samba drumming and world drumming. All Introducing courses are designed for absolute beginners and assume no previous musical experience. Each term's Introducing courses start from scratch, although there are generally continuation courses available in the next term for students who have completed them.
