The Pre-Exam Revision Workshop is designed to provide an intensive final preparation to students studying for this year’s Leaving Cert. Music exam, either at school or on their own. The workshop includes a comprehensive revision of all the Listening and Composing elements of the exam, including the Prescribed Works, Irish Music, and melody writing and harmony in major and minor keys.
The workshop also provides students with some strategies for exam preparation and technique. Students should take along their scores of the prescribed works, manuscript paper and writing materials. A variety of sample questions will be provided for use in the workshop. Particular attention will be given to solutions for the official Sample Paper (issued in 1998 by the Department of Education and Science), as well as the 1999 - 2009 Leaving Cert. Music exams and various pre-Leaving Cert. exams. This workshop is offered free of charge as part of both the Two-Year Course and the Easter Revision Workshop.
