The Waltons Drum Circle scheduled for this Friday, 23 November has unfortunately been cancelled. Our next Waltons Drum Circle will take place at the school on Friday, 25 January, 6.30 - 8 pm.

Facilitated by the renowned West African drummer, singer and musician Solomon Ijigade, Drum Circle sessions are open to drummers at all levels of experience. Don't worry – even if you think you're rhythmically challenged, you will soon find rhythms inside you that you never knew you had! Skill level is much less important than how much of yourself you contribute to the experience. All you have to do is participate, and the energy of the drum circle will give you everything you need.

Using a range of different hand drums and percussion instruments (participants can use one of the school’s many drums or bring a drum of their own), we will together create unique ‘in the moment’ rhythms – sometimes simple and sometimes quite complex – that everyone will contribute to. Whatever your reasons for coming – creative music making, relaxation, healing or recreation – you are welcome!
