Music for Me Internships

We welcome applications for internships with our Music for Me early childhood (pre-instrumental) music programme for children aged 3-4, 4-5 and 5-6, for our 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years.

Music for Me internships are offered on an ongoing basis to currently enrolled undergraduates in third-level music or music education programmes in Ireland. If chosen for this opportunity, interns will work alongside and under the supervision of the Music for Me teacher, developing their teaching skills and classroom management techniques. They may also have the opportunity to work with teachers and/or facilitators in the New School’s Outreach Programme. Although the internships are unpaid, they are a valuable opportunity to gain experience in music education for children, and all those who have completed their internships will receive a written reference from the school.

Prospective interns should be available to assist with Music for Me classes on Saturdays in the school, during one or more of our three school terms, September – December, January – March and/or April – June. Those accepted for internships will be Garda vetted by the New School, whether or not they have not already been vetted through their degree programme.
