My [piano] teacher is so enthusiastic, encouraging and knowledgeable.

I had piano lessons with Lenka and voice lessons with Fiadh here. Lenka was always very energetic and positively engaging. We had a lot of fun, but I also managed to complete Grades 3 and 4 under her supervision. I only worked with Fiadh through the Summer Term, but I feel we achieved a lot in that time frame, and it was exactly what I wanted. Her methodical approach, attention and professionalism are admirable. The staff at Waltons are all very nice and helpful, and the building with its wooden floors, narrow staircases and creative atmosphere quite charming itself. Highly recommend.

Daniel is a great piano teacher. He is dedicated and very patient, particularly with younger students like my 6-year-old daughter. We’re thrilled with her progress, and she loves the piano lessons. I also like the availability of online lessons at home for younger children. I would highly recommend anyone, beginner or advanced, to take lessons with Waltons New School of Music.

I had always been fond of the piano but had no training, theoretical or practical. The [Introducing Piano/Keyboard for Adults] course I took introduced me to both, and with what I learned I’ve have been able to continue my tuition independently. Our teacher was lovely, patient and thorough, and she made the course very enjoyable, user friendly and easy to understand. I’m happy to say I still use the tools she provided in my practice today. Resuming piano grades 7 and 8 in my 40s was fantastic. Two years of prep, and in year three I did both exams – with Merit and Honours! I can’t stop telling younger people…to just go for it! I’m now 50 and aiming higher!

Luke is a brilliant teacher, is very good at explaining new concepts so that I can understand them as a beginner, is super patient and encouraging and makes the lessons fun and challenging.

My children have been taking online lessons with Barbara Dagg, who is an outstanding piano teacher with the experience and patience to inspire even the most challenging of children. She tried different techniques and ways of teaching to find something that worked well for both of my children. For my oldest, she was supportive and understanding as she went into her first pre-exam and gave her confidence. For my youngest, she tried different ways of working with her to find something that stuck. They have both progressed tremendously in the last year and enjoy playing. We have had a great experience with the school, and I have already recommended it to other families.
