at Waltons New School of Music
A range of music tuition is available during our two-part Summer Term (July and/or August). In addition to private (one-to-one), partner and small group instruction in a number of instruments (including voice/singing), we offer summer versions of some of our most popular group courses, an acclaimed songwriting workshop, Intensive Lessons and Irish Music Tasters.
Many of our courses and workshops fill well in advance, and early enrolment is advisable.

30-, 45- and 60-minute private, partner and small group lessons are offered during our Summer Term for a wide range of instruments (including voice/singing). See our Instrumental • Vocal Departments for more information.

How is a song written? What is a hook? What makes rhyme? Which comes first, melody or lyrics? In The Art & Craft of Songwriting – a four-evening, twelve-hour workshop, now in its eighth year – acclaimed singer-songwriter Melanie O’Reilly will answer these frequently asked questions and many more.
Our August 2018 group course list and schedules will be available from early May.

Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Except for wind instruments and uilleann pipes intensive lessons, instruments may be borrowed for use in the lesson – subject to availability – if required.
