Carnegie Hall Digital Library A wide range of educational materials from the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall, including activities and lesson plans, worksheets, audio and video resources, and interactive listening guides. All materials are free for use with registration.

Scoilnet Music Resources Part of the Scoilnet portal for Irish education website, this page rovides interesting resources and activities to supplement primary school music teaching.
Songs for Teaching A US site that offers numerous practical ideas for using music to teach content across the curriculum, including maths, reading and language skills, and science.
The Sound Factory This rhythmic website tells the story of a factory worker who is bored with his job. The activity challenges students to create various rhythms using the tools and equipment in the factory, to keep the factory workers entertained.

Down Beat’s Jazz 101 Available on Down Beat magazine’s website, this is a brief but comprehensive history and guide to jazz.
FindSounds A free site where you can search the web for thousands of sound effects and musical instrument samples.
Online Resources for Leaving Cert. Music Students This page in the Leaving Cert. Music section of our website provides the complete Prescribed Works on YouTube, web resources for students and links to third-level music programmes in the Republic and Northern Ireland.
MusicAtSchool A UK-based site that provides resources, links and over 170 free worksheets for teachers and students.
Naxos Education The website of Naxos, the budget classical record label, has an excellent education section, which includes, among other things, an A-Z glossary of musical terms and brief composer biographies.
Study Music Ireland A great resource for anyone wishing to study music at third level in Ireland. It includes information and links for all undergraduate and postgraduate music courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland, as well as lots of information about applying to study music, including entry requirements and auditions/tests.
World Music Central An excellent general-interest world music site, it includes up-to-date information on musicians, recordings and festivals, as well as useful glossaries of world music genres and instruments.
