Choir
3rd Class and Up
No Size Limit

Guitar

Maximum 10 Participants per Group
Melodic, harmonic and percussive, the guitar is not only satisfying to play in itself but can also serve as a ‘gateway’ musical experience for other instrumental study. Singing
3rd Class and Up
Maximum 10 Participants per Group
Everyone loves to sing, and singing is the basis of all music. It also builds self-esteem, promotes teamwork and facilitates self-expression. We will work on and learn to sing a wide range of songs in this course, including pop, R&B and musical theatre.
Songwriting
3rd Class and Up
Maximum 10 Participants per Group

Tin Whistle
1st Class and Up
Maximum 20 Participants per Group
A simple tube of metal with six finger-holes, the Irish tin whistle is easier to play than the recorder and has a great expressive range – from the speed and excitement of Irish reels to the beauty of slow airs. Children will learn to play Irish music, folk songs, Christmas carols and simple classics in this course.
Ukulele
3rd Class and Up
Maximum 20 Participants per Group
Originally from Hawaii, the ukulele has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, and for good reason: it is versatile, accessible, inexpensive, portable and most importantly, a lot of fun! This course introduces children to both melody and harmony and allows them to experience the enjoyment of making music as part of a group. Along the way they will develop their improvisation skills, their ‘polyphonic hearing’ and their understanding of the instrument as a tool to develop their own musicality.
Violin
3rd Class and Up
Maximum 10 Participants per Group
This course is intended not only to teach children to play the violin but also to make music an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. Fees
Our outreach course fees are very reasonable. The costs per student are generally far below what they would pay in a music school environment, with the added advantage that the courses take place in a familiar environment (their school or centre) and do not require travel.
Below are fees for 10-week group courses, although we can arrange courses of different durations, from courses up to 30 weeks long to 5-week ‘taster’ courses, and we would be happy to tailor a course to your particular needs. One hour of teaching can also be divided into two consecutive 30-minute classes, and two consecutive hours of teaching can be divided into two 60-minute classes, three 40-minute classes or four 30-minute classes. Schools classed as DEIS by the Department of Education receive a 10% discount off course fees.
